I have arrived in the Pacific northwest and spent the past couple of days with family. i am staying nights in the caribou lite ‘camped’ in family driveways. the weather has been normal for this time of year: intermittent light rain, cloudy, fog, chily, and short days. it is the shortened days that i notice most.
One of my family’s neighbors calls me ‘Cousin Eddy’ after the character in the National Lampoon’s Vacation movie series.
the damp chill is noticeable as i am use to the dry cold in Colorado. I’m running an extension cord to get 110v and the electric heater. Momma Kitty likes the heater –
tomorrow i head to Port Townsend. this will involve taking a ferry across Puget Sound … always fun! I’ll put the boat in the water, bundle up and go sailing.
